Poconos Mini Trade Show & Education Forum

CAI's Mini Trade Show & Education Forum returns to the Poconos on October 25, 2017. In addition to two breakout education sessions, attendees can visit and network with exhibitors and sponsors and enjoy lite refreshments. 

Education Sessions:

Session 1: Incorporating Drones into Inspections. Speaker - Mitch Frumkin, RS, Kipcon, Inc. - Drone technology has become a significant tool for engineers looking to stay on the cutting edge. Considered the eyes of the engineer, drones cut down on inspection time while increasing accuracy and safety. This results in cost savings as well as an increase in quality. Drones are used for a number of projects including roof inspections, facade inspections, site surveying and construction. Because drones are a new technology, education property managers is extremely important so that you are comfortable with this new technology and understand the significant value it can provide. 


Session 2: Getting To Yes Before Getting The Subpoena: Resolving Conflicts Before Ending up in Court. Speaker - Tobey Oxholm, Just Resolutions. - Our presenter for this second session, Tobey Oxholm, has recorded a series of short podcasts on Alternative Dispute Resolution. The first episode, titled The Basics of Alternative Dispute Resolution, can be listened to at this link, and the second podcast, titled Five Terms that are Key to Successful ADR, can be listened to at this link. The third and final podcast in the series will be released on Friday, October 6. Tune in to all three episodes in advance of the mini trade show and come out to learn more about how ADR can assist in resolving disputes in your community association.

This course is approved by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB) to fulfill continuing education requirements for the CMCA® certification.  This course will earn managers  (1) continuing education credit hour, which also help satisfy the requirements to apply for the PCAM designation.
