CAI Seeks Marketing & Market Research Summer Intern

The Pennsylvania & Delaware Valley Chapter is the 4th largest of 61 state and regional chapters of Community Associations Institute (CAI). CAI is a 34,000+ member not-for-profit organization dedicated to building better communities. CAI provides information, education and resources to condominium, homeowner and cooperative associations and the professionals who support them. Our mission is to inspire professionalism, effective leadership and responsible citizenship, ideals reflected in communities that are preferred places to call home.

The Pennsylvania & Delaware Valley Chapter has an internship opportunity in its King of Prussia office for college students in the Marketing & Market Research fields.

Responsibilities & Objectives of the Internship

  • Assist the organization in developing strategies for membership retention and new member recruitment through innovative and creative marketing efforts and lead generation.
  • Work with membership committee and other staff to plan and implement membership development plans, membership recruitment campaigns, track and analyze campaign results, and evaluate strategies for effectiveness.
  • Attend chapter and outside events from time to time to promote membership benefits and recruit new members.
  • Lead generation – use existing and new research techniques to build prospect lists and leads in all categories of membership.
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of data in the contact management systems.
  • Assist with promotional and public relations campaigns and activities including creation of email campaigns, social media posts, etc.
  • Develop and build upon existing efforts to welcome and recognize new members and to encourage participation among new members in all aspects of the organization.


CAI is looking for an undergraduate student in the greater Philadelphia area who is majoring in Sales, Marketing or Market Research. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
