Volunteer Spotlight: Joanne Bradley - Managing the NJRC

Nov 4, 2014

Joanne Bradley, CMCA, AMS, PCAM grew up in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Early on, she did not have a firm idea of what type of career she wanted to pursue. Joanne worked for a wide variety of employers in bookkeeping and accounting. Joanne’s husband served in the U.S. Air Force, and they were stationed in Delaware, Japan, and finally McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. While accompanying her husband during his time in the Air Force, Joanne worked for several auto dealerships, a country club, a community college, and, finally, a community association.

In 1994, Joanne began working for LeisureTowne Association, a 55+ community in Southampton, New Jersey. She quickly learned the nuances of community association accounting — reserves, budgets, etc. — under the guidance of the community manager, Jennifer Ward. Jennifer left LeisureTowne in 1997, and was eventually replaced by Karen Mesler. It was Karen that really pushed Joanne into getting involved in CAI and encouraged her to start taking the M-100 and M-200 courses. Joanne became a CAI member in 2004 and achieved the CMCA designation in 2005, the AMS in 2006, and PCAM in 2013.

Joanne is currently the Executive Director for Kings Grant Open Space Association in Marlton, New Jersey. She has served on the CAI PA/DelVal chapter’s New Jersey Regional Council for the past four years, serving as council president this year and last. She finds community association management to be sometimes challenging, often rewarding, but never boring!
