Foreclosure Crisis on agenda at Mini Trade Show for Poconos Community Associations

Educational Session, Exhibit Hall and more await managers and board members in

 Private Communities

King of Prussia, PA.: Managers and elected volunteer leaders in Pocono area private communities are invited to Community Associations Institute’s annual Mini Trade Show & Education Forum, which will be held at the Inn at Pocono Manor on Wednesday evening, October 22, 2014. The educational presentation will focus on how community associations can help prevent foreclosures among homeowners within their communities. While community association collection practices are important, this session will examine additional resources which may make the difference between a minor challenge and a lengthy default for homeowners that may also seriously affect the finances of the association. Community association elected volunteer leaders and managers should attend this session, which will follow a mini trade show featuring exhibitors offering products and services to community associations including insurance, engineering, maintenance and lake management, among others.

The event is free to attend and will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Inn at Pocono Manor, 1 Manor Drive, in Pocono Manor, PA from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. The event includes light dinnertime food. Advanced registration is suggested. Individuals can register online at or call 877-608-9777.

The speaker is Linda Gerkensmeyer, executive director of Integra Home Counseling, Inc. a PHFA approved housing counseling agency in Monroe County.
