Class is in Session This Fall

Sep 2, 2014

Now that the kids have gone back to school, the time for adults to follow suit has arrived! CAI has an education catalog for the Fall semester that has something for everyone - managers and homeowners, from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh...including the first in our new series of educational webinars!. Click the links below for full details and to register online.

Webinars: We are excited to announce the first programs in our new webinar series! All members and member types are invited to participate in a webinar to learn more about topics that impact community associations. All webinars are free to attend for homeowner members of the chapter and will earn managers one hour of continuing education credit. We have two webinars scheduled for this Fall and more will be planned in 2015. Upcoming webinars include:

  • October 2: Fiduciary Duty: Obligations of Community Association Board Members
  • November 18: Understanding Bankruptcy & its Impact on Your Community
Click here for complete information on our webinar series.

For Managers, CAI has two upcoming manager education classes. Our October seminar is called Common or Private: Who Owns and Who Pays? This program will review the definition of common, limited common, and private elements in community associations with a look at insurance and legal implications, including scenarios and real life examples. In November, we'll present Culture Club: Managing Diverse Communities. Both classes will be held at our new location, Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, PA and earn you three hours of continuing education credit that can be used to meet the continuing education requirements for the CMCA, AMS and PCAM.

In addition, CAI will offer the M100: Essentials of Community Association Management course in Valley Forge in November. The M100 is the first step for managers to take who intend to sit for the CMCA exam, or just for new managers to learn the essentials of management. Click here for more information.

For homeowners who may have just been elected to your association board, CAI's Essentials of Community Association Volunteer Leadership is the one training session you'll need to be fully oriented on the job of community association board member. A very limited number of seats are available for our next class in September. Register early so you don't miss out! This class will not be offered again until Spring.

In addition to the above programs, our On the Road with CAI Mini Trade Shows are once again coming to a location near you! Complete with a mini expo hall and educational speaker, our mini trade shows will be offered in the following locations:
