Call for Presentations: Webinars are Coming

Mar 5, 2014

It is cliché to say it, but it really is true: the Internet has changed the world.

It has changed the way we communicate. It has changed the way we shop, the way we learn and the way we network. It has driven companies and industries into irrelevance while replacing them with their modern day equivalents.

It should come as no surprise, then, that the way we do things at CAI is also changing. More and more, we are delivering information, education and networking online. As part of this change, the chapter is pleased to announce that in the near future we will be offering educational opportunities via webinars.

The opportunity to meet and learn online will save our members travel time and costs, and also allow CAI to bring educational programs to members in far off regions, lowering an important barrier to participation for members who are not located close to where we offer our traditional programs.

We are pleased, therefore, to issue this Call for Presentations for Webinars. If you have an idea or topic for a webinar, contact the chapter with the details so we can consider your program. Here's what we are looking for:

  • Programs should be one or two hours in length.
  • Programs should appeal to both manager members and homeowner members
  • Programs must incorporate a powerpoint or some other viewable presentation
  • Program topics should be timely and related to community association issues

Presenters will need to learn the Adobe Connect system and chapter staff will work with presenters on how to learn the system. Presenters will also need to be members in good standing of the Pennsylvania & Delaware Valley Chapter and be members of, or join, the chapter Speakers Bureau. All speakers bureau guidelines will apply to webinar programs.

The targeted launch date is Fall, 2014. If you have a topic you would like to propose for a webinar, submit the Call for Presentations no later than May 15, 2014.
